how this is better than Evolved Kobold? is really beast > both?
4/4 is a huge difference from 2/2 in terms of temp loss, threat to the face and trading, and ease of removal.
Jungle Moonkin might backfire in setting up it's own death or allowing an enemy board wipe - if it was played riskily alongside many creatures.
Evolved Kobald is much more likely to die next turn to any number of things.
If the spell damage counted only for the creature's controller the card would be actually playable.
This guy gets summoned by wrangler and ruins my game all the time.

Could work in a combo deck with Emperor reducing the cost of
2*Living Roots and 2*Moonfires.
But I don't know how well Druids can cycle through their decks before reaching this 30 damage combo.
When I wasn't playing with my Warrior I had fun going into my "Boomkin", its always fun to play as a big wiggly chicken
I love the concept, but I'm afraid it suffers from the Lorewalker Cho weakness of being in your opponent's control. You play it T4, they can get value out of it and then trade into it.
Additionally, it sort of kills itself. It makes Darkbomb and Frostbolt do enough to take it out. It makes itself susceptible to a lot of stuff. Heck, Holy Smite destroys it! Explosive Trap destroys this and takes your board with it.
All in all? I don't think its worth it unless you play it + a few spells to already have value.
This card has interesting applications. With this +2 spell damage bonus, we can:- Cast Wrath for 5 or 3 damage + 1 card- Cast Swipe for 6 + 3 damage against all other targets- Cast a free Free 3 damage Moonfire - so far, the most interesting or crappy combo, depending on how you see it- Cast Living Roots for 4 damage- Cast Starfall for 7 or 4 damage against all minions for 5 mana - way cheaper than Flamestrike- Cast Starfire for 7 + 1 cardIn theory, the spell bonus damage it grants to opponents might backfire on you. But, it's a 4 mana card against 5 from the Azure Drake. Also, since it benefits the opponent, its a minion that he might not want to trade - but you do, on your own terms, timing it with spells. It all depends on how you set things up.

I hope they make more cards with Spell Damage for Druid in the future so that Spell Damage Druid might become a thing one day.
It's also kind of a nerf to Tomb Spider. Considering the only class beast cards you could get before were Mounted Raptor, Savage Combatant and Malorne. But even with Moonkin there's still a good chance to get a good pick.
Ideally you drop this follow by a bunch of spells withInnervate, could potentially be quite devastating. Unfortunately very risky for obvious reasons.

This card would have been Druid's answer to patron warrior if it were still really popular. Inner rage and ww now deal 3 damage to their target and moonkin+ swipe clears entire patron board.
I would seem so. You can almost tell when this set was designed and what concerns the development team had when making the cards. I guess no one told them that patron would get nerf'd out of the meta. Excavated Evil has the same type of heal, it feels like a card developed to address patron.
